welcome to innovation loop live 2018
Digital Transformation Boosting Regional Innovation Ecosystems
DECEMBER 12-13 2018 • HumLab-X / Umeå / Sweden
The Innovation Loop is a one-year cyclical co-creation process, developed in Västerbotten which stimulates the process of looking at societal challenges from new perspectives and seeking solutions to stimulate the regional innovation ecosystem.
At the end of each year, leveraging the lessons learnt during the year, Region of Västerbotten catalyses key experts with different background and roles in the society to debate and co-define new challenges, stimulating new collaboration for innovation projects.
In particular, with this end of 2018 event Region of Västerbotten aims to stimulate a fertile collaboration environment for new projects around the main theme of digital transformation for regional innovation.

INFORMATION
The Innovation Loop at a Glance
The Innovation Loop is recognised by Interreg Europe Program Committee as a good practice to engage stakeholders in co-creation for regional innovation. Since 2014, the Innovation Loop is creating new networks and simultaneously raising participants’ creative self-esteem. The process brings together individuals with different knowledge perspectives in a penta helix model to co-identify challenges for innovation and co-generate solutions (i.e. innovative processes, products and services).
HumLab-X – The Venue
Humlab is a vibrant meeting place for the humanities, culture and information technology at Umeå University.
Text from their website: ”Humlab-X is one of our newest labs and is located in a beautiful spot just next to the Umeälven river on the Umeå University’s Arts Campus, where Bildmuseet, the Umeå School of Architecture, the Institute of Design and the Umeå Academy of Fine Arts are also situated. Humlab-X is located at the heart of the campus and functions as a hub for the Arts Campus institutions, artists, companies, international visitors and a growing local community. The connection the main campus institutions and the other Humlab is also vital.”
